Elizabeth Drescher

Elizabeth Drescher, PhD is a lecturer in Religious Studies and Pastoral Ministries at Santa Clara University. She is the author of Tweet If You ♥ Jesus: Practicing Church in the Digital Reformation (Morehouse, 2011) and, with Keith Anderson, Click 2 Save: The Digital Ministry Bible (Morehouse, 2012). Her research on the religiously unaffiliated, which is supported in part by a journalism fellowship from the Social Science Research Council’s “New Directions in the Study of Prayer” initiative and the Markkula Center on Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University, will appear in book form as Choosing Our Religion: The Spiritual Lives of American Nones from Oxford University Press in mid-2014. Dr. Drescher is also a senior correspondent at the magazine Religion Dispatches, where she writes about contemporary spiritual life, new media and religion, economic justice and religious institutions, and other topics at the intersection of religion and everyday life that catch her attention.(Bio dated 2013)
